Support for
community projects

In 2024, the deadlines for submitting projects are February
15 and August 25.

Please note that exceptionally, there will be no call for Roaming projects for the date August 25 deadline.
Deeply committed to social justice, Mission inclusion supports initiatives that value and empower marginalized or vulnerable individuals and groups while contributing to initiatives aiming greater inclusivity within their community and society.
Organizations selected as partners in action with Mission inclusion must demonstrate innovation, directly engage those affected by targeted changes, and develop structuring and sustainable initiatives for the community.

Programs

Organizations are invited to submit a funding request based on the program corresponding to the population targeted by their project.

Homelessness and street youth

Prevent and improve the living conditions of homeless individuals.

Vulnerable children and families

Support parents in their role and promote the full development of children.

Isolated seniors

Break the isolation of seniors and strengthen community vigilance.

Youth

Increase the capacities and engagement of young people.

For each of the 4 programs, two types of financial support are available: support for initiatives in development or support for ongoing projects

Ongoing Project

An ongoing project is a project or activity that is already in place within the organization. The maximum annual amount granted is $25,000 and the duration is one to three years, depending on the organization’s needs.

Development Initiative

A development initiative is a new project to address a new observed issue. Exceptionally, it may be the relaunch of a project. The maximum annual amount granted is $55,000 and the duration is one to three years, always according to the organization’s needs.
An organization can submit only one project per 12-month period, even if it is not selected after our analyses. Applicant organizations and submitted projects must meet our eligibility criteria.

FILING PROCEDURE AND STUDY PHASES OF APPLICATIONS

Phase 1

Project Submission – Ongoing

An organization that wishes to request financial support must first submit to Mission inclusion documentation describing the project or initiative. You can send us documentation in the format you wish: a letter of intent, a video, existing documentation, etc. The goal is to present your organization, the project and the population reached
by it.

It is important to mention the amount requested and to provide the organization’s latest financial statements. The program in which it is enrolled, and the desired number of years must also be indicated. If you have a registration number with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) you can provide it, though it is not mandatory in order to apply.
These documents must be sent by email to the program manager (see contact information below). Although submission is ongoing, projects are analyzed on February 15 and August 25 every year.
What is studied? The analysis of the problem, the realism and coherence of the project, its promising nature and the place given to the vulnerable and/or marginalized population in the process.
We are available to discuss with you if you have any doubts about the admissibility of your project. Simply contact us by email or by phone.
Following this study, the organization will be informed whether or not the project is selected for Phase 2. If so, the organization will receive the procedure for submitting the application to Mission inclusion.

Mission inclusion has a limited budget. A project that meets all the criteria may not make it to step 2 for financial reasons only.

Phase 2

Submission of detailed documentation March 15 and September 25

What is studied? The governance and community character of the organization, the raison d’être and long-term vision of the project, the adequacy of the project with the issues raised and the population reached, the financial aspects, and the capacity to consider the systemic issues related to the project.
Please note: Projects submitted by March 15 will receive a response in May and funding in June. Projects submitted in September will receive a response in November and funding in December.
