This program is rooted in the idea that the environmental crisis and social inequalities are inseparable: it is already-marginalized populations that bear the brunt of climate impacts.
This program is rooted in the idea that the environmental crisis and social inequalities are inseparable: it is already-marginalized populations that bear the brunt of climate impacts.
Targeted issues:
Capitalism and neoliberalism (infinite growth), techno-solutionism, the over-attribution of responsibility to individuals at the expense of states, and the invisibilization of Indigenous knowledge.
Examples of supported actions:
Food autonomy
Collective gardens, urban agriculture, and Indigenous food sovereignty.
Infrastructure and resilience
Creation of cooling islands and green spaces in disadvantaged neighbourhoods, as well as access to safe drinking water.
Mobilization and alternatives
Popular education, advocacy for equitable public policies, and support for ecological production initiatives.

Process
The 2026 process unfolds as follows:
Submission of an expression of interest (letter or video) before August 20.
If your initiative is selected, you will be invited to submit a full funding application before September 25.
A review visit by our volunteer review committee will take place during October and November.
Decisions made by the volunteer committee will be announced in December.
First payments will be made between December 2026 and January 2027.
