CHILDREN AND FAMILIES
CHILDREN AND FAMILIES
For the future of children and their families
Many families struggle with difficult living conditions. Some need support in developing parenting skills, or respite to prevent distressing situations. Too many children around the world are victims of violence, abuse and lack of access to education. For this reason, Mission inclusion has made children and their families a top priority, working with partners who defend children’s rights and promote the empowerment of families in Québec and abroad.
Centre d’entraide Racine-Lavoie
Saint-Eustache, Québec
Centre d’entraide Racine-Lavoie’s mission is to promote individual autonomy and development, and to promote cooperation and solidarity among citizens in the greater MRC Deux-Montagnes / Mirabel (sud) region.
Mission inclusion supports the Lunch Box project. This project brings parents together in a collective kitchen to prepare school lunches for their children while fostering mutual aid and community involvement. Not only do participants save money and time, they also learn, share knowledge and develop their power to act.
Autour du bébé
Ahuntsic, Montréal
Autour du bébé offers an environment to break out of isolation and strengthen the social fabric of families in Ahuntsic and Montréal North. By focusing on what parents have in common, the organization creates a respectful space that values each lived experience and supports each parent’s learning about their role. By supporting Autour de bébé, Mission inclusion fosters support and preventive intervention for families in precarious situations.
