For Louis Roberge, the answer is clear: a legacy that transforms lives and restores hope for those who need it most. Since 1993, Louis Roberge has been actively involved with Mission inclusion. His commitment is no coincidence \u2014 it\u2019s rooted in a family history deeply grounded in generosity and social engagement.<\/span><\/p>\n

His uncle, Guy Roberge, was one of the founders of the foundation. He encouraged Louis to carry on this mission when he retired. But the roots of this commitment go even deeper. From a young age, Louis was made aware of the importance of giving back, a value firmly instilled during his education with the Jesuits.<\/p>\n

Already an investment advisor and socially engaged, Louis embraced the belief that professional success should go hand in hand with responsibility toward the community. There are moments when our view of the world shifts. For Louis, that moment came during a visit to a centre supported by Mission inclusion. That day, he met young adults left to fend for themselves after aging out of the youth protection system. One of them shared how he had drifted from foster home to foster home, never finding stability, never experiencing the sense of belonging every child deserves. Then a young woman spoke. Her voice trembling, she recounted a life marked by abuse, prostitution, and addiction. Words that sounded like a cry for justice.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hearing these stories, Louis felt an overwhelming sense of injustice. He thought of his own children, raised in a stable, privileged environment, surrounded by love and safety. The contrast was unbearable. At that moment, something crystallized within him: he could no longer remain just a spectator. He had to act\u2014not only out of compassion but out of a deep conviction that every person deserves a chance to thrive<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Already participating in the Cycling for Inclusion<\/em><\/a><\/span> challenge and serving on the foundation\u2019s board of directors, Louis felt the need to go further. After ensuring his children\u2019s financial stability, he asked himself a fundamental question: Do they really need a larger material inheritance?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The answer quickly became clear. He could turn his commitment into something lasting \u2014 <\/span>into a legacy that would continue making a difference long after he was gone. And so, he decided to include Mission inclusion in his will<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
