The Gold Cross is the first endeavour created by Paul-\u00c9mile L\u00e9ger to assist victims of the Second World War in Europe. Its mission is to help children in need throughout the world by providing health care, training and literacy programs.<\/div>\n

This exceptional gesture pays tribute to two great humanists: Paul-\u00c9mile L\u00e9ger, Cardinal Archbishop of Montreal, and his brother Jules L\u00e9ger, Ambassador of Canada abroad (1953<\/span>\u2013<\/span>1964) and Governor General of Canada (1974<\/span>\u2013<\/span>1979)<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
