A year of innovation

We support innovative community action in 12 regions of Quebec and 14 countries around the world.

In Quebec, we will be working in concert to provide tools for isolated people, families, youth and seniors. Internationally, we will stand together to protect the vulnerable from pandemic, famine, climate shocks and violence.

Spotlight on two flagship projects

LA PIAULE

Drummondville

Under the La Piaule project, street workers can assist vulnerable and isolated seniors in Drummondville by guiding them toward services that can help them reconnect with their community. This innovative effort brings together street workers and an isolated, marginalized, vulnerable population of seniors. La Piaule has been in existence for nearly 40 years but this is the first time it has taken an initiative of this kind.

ATTOUS

Burkina Faso

ATTOUS is working to change mindsets and fight prejudices and sexist stereotypes in Burkinabe society. The organization is also improving the living conditions of 330 young women by teaching them non-traditional trades.

This innovative project tackles economic and occupational inequalities. ATTOUS is helping to increase women’s participation in the labour market and providing technical, financial and material support to improve their access to training and jobs.
